Not a great idea to post your phone no. and email address publicly. You'll get 'spammed'.
Use Personal Message (PM) or you can enter your email address into your Profile Information and set Preferences to allow members to contact you directly. Both buttons are at the bottom of each post. Its much safer as no-one gets to see your personal information.

Here is a picture of dozens of fraudulent checks that I get every month.

Luckily I have never gotten reeled in by these people.

Most people don't believe how big the problem is.

Be careful out there.

Australia also had a huge problem with fraudlent checks until the federal gov made it a criminal offence to issue a check that was not honoured on presentation to the bank. When I was running my business in Brisbane I had a notice on the wall saying checks were not presented twice because after the first bounce I took it to the local police station, I very rarely had any problems.

These are all forged checks by people using Google translators.
You can tell immediately as their English "phraseology" is off.

Their assistants always make a mistake and send you several thousand dollars more than the
price of the advertised piece. Would I please refund the overage by Western Union and keep $50 or $100 for my trouble.
Of course the check really bounces in two weeks and you are out the money that you sent them back.

I was thinking checks for normal day to day business but when the scamers are in Nigeria it's a difficult thing to police.
There must be enough people who get caught out from the scam to continue but with all the coverage the scams get it is a wonder to me that they keep going.

From what I gather checks are still widely used in US where here they seem to be fading into obscurity in favour of direct transfer between bank accounts. Most businesses still use them but for us meer normal citizens they are almost a thing of the past.

Cheques (checks) aren't as widely used in the good ol' Los Estados Unidos as they used to be by individuals, and there's no such thing as the simple person to person money (BSB bank-to-bank) transfers the like of which we cherish in OZ, but, yes, businesses here still use cheques frequently. Heck, the US is only just starting to use chips in debit/credit cards whereas we've had 'em in OZ for yonks now. I hear people here say it's the cost to convert that has caused the delay...The US seems to me a very large and long boat in many ways; steady as she goes and slow to deviate from the intended heading once underway.

I have several ads on Craig's list and different bmw web sites.
The bike took a slide into some bony gravel on it as left side. The po parked it under a tarp for 7 years

Shame, as it's an uncommon Special Edition. There are lots of the blue/white SE's, very pretty, but you don't see many Motorsports.
