G'day ,name is Rob currently have a varied fleet of bikes but have just added a 1987 K100 that I 'stole/rescued' of a mate. It's in pretty good nick just needs some love (and money) throw at it . Thinking of doing a scrambler style build on it as per http://www.toysgarage.it/I/krapona.html . First thing is to get it started , turns but no fuel pump (pump bench tested OK ) , expect will be electrical and will take days to find but I will get there in the end. Will look forward to lots of good advice when it comes to bypassing the instrument panel for the new Acewell or similar instruments. Hope to post photos as/if I progress but have a few other things on the go as well so it may be slow. If ever near or about Canberra drop by and say hello!

Gidday Rob welcome to the loony bin. Just a word of advice, don't let it out about Canberra being the real capital because the Melburnians haven't figured it out yet and they are easily upset. Laughing

Welcome to the forum.
Check out the connector to the pump before you bin it. Corrosion is a well known problem.
It lives outside the tank Just to the rear of it.
Also, take a look at the sKrambler from Unit Garage. That's my dream bike!

gday rob  welcome aboard .
you know the only folks that keep reminding us that Canberra is the federal capitol is only Canberrans

the only good thing to come out of Canberra, is folks willing to leave and give "real life" a go ...giggles

enough slagging off ..have fun with the repairs,  it isn't hard ...just difficult to click into the type of technologies used and interesting faults that can happen ...none of which, someone hasn't experienced before .

if your are successful  at getting it running even partially well ...it isn't hard to appreciate the bike for its fantastic road skills

just an observation ...these old machines really need a tune up suspension wise ....and the new tyres available across all brands are really good in comparison to what was available ..plan on getting some before you travel too far ...it could make a world of difference

cheers

Sure everyone knows Cork in Ireland is the real capital. It isn't called the Rebel County for nothing!

Olaf's plans for world domination are well afoot!

Welcome along. Australia is just one big tract of scary reptiles as far as were concerned not to mention spiders and things that float. They're not all bad tho' some of the best Forum contributors and Knowledgable people come from Auz.

Good to have you along!
