I have been wanting to lose a couple of pounds/kilos and convert my K100RS to K100. Problem is the K100 radiator trim panels (front and two sides), they are not available anywhere. Are there any alternatives?

Plan "B" is to restore the RS as original. I am not that unhappy doing this, but just want to make sure my first preference isn't an option.

Any comments welcome.

I vaguely recall someone talking last year about making molds to produce the radiator side panels in fibereglass.  Can't tell you where, but it may be worth spending some time on a search.

Thanks Espresso had not considered Basic 2 will do a bit of research on local availability, but alternative doesn't appeal to me. A bit too far away from original K100 look for me.

As ComberJohn said to me recently, 'standard K100 radiators covers are rockinghorse shit'. Certainly, I see more RS fairings than K100 radiator covers on ebay.

Welcome BTW; remember that the only dumb questions are the ones that you don't ask.

There was a naked K100 at a wrecker in Sydney a few weeks ago for $400.  All I could think was: Radiator cover, round headight, mounting and shroud, C handlebars.  Someone got it real quick once it was posted where K people could see it.

Yes I spotted it on Gumtree as I was after a few parts myself but I was too slow off the mark while considering transport to Brisbane and somebody else grabbed it....hopefully I won't be so slow next time...
