My K100RT had a new dunlop arrowmax on the front when I got it. Wandered all over the place at low speeds. Just changed to a shinko. Problem fixed. The dunlops have a very triangular profile and dont seem to suit the K's. The Shinko is more rounded.

indeed ,  first thing I volunteered to throw off gerty Phil ...had to relearn riding all over once it was gone ....and it was for the better in all instances ..

even the shinko rear ...with a blown shock ...and leaking bevel drive ...(all over the tyre ),_,, several years ago was better than a Dunlop on the rear ... sorry to all the Dunlop followers ...but just the way I saw it at the time

My bike also had new Arrowmax Streetsmart fitted when I bought it, both front and rear. I was not happy with the handling until today when, on advice from other members here, upped the pressure to 38 front and 40 rear.

The bike is transformed! I took it for a brisk run today, including the Galston gorge, and am very happy. At my previous 34psi front the bike seemed to fall into every turn, but then run wide. Today, with the increased pressure, steering was much more precise and even mid corner corrections were drama free. Tip in was much more controlled and predictable.

Anyway, so far so good, I will report back if further experience dulls my enthusiasm.

PS  I should point out that having never ridden a K on any other tyre I can not really say in absolute terms if they are any good. My observations are just of the improvements with increased pressure.

I have also put these Dunlop Arrowmax Street Smarts on Gretel, as a trial (I still have Avon Road Riders on Heidi) - and have pressures exactly as Michael (38 & 40). So far, I have absolutely no complaints - they roll round the corners, seem to hold their line and give the grip in the wet. I am watching them carefully to see what mileage I get out of them to see if they last longer than the Avons before I come to a conclusion on whether they are a good buy or not.
