Quite often we spend time in complaining about a product or service. I would like to report on a great service that was provided recently. Rossi boots have been known in Australia for a very long time and I have had a pair of MC riding boots for the past 15 years. On a trip to Gilgandra to meet some of the Krew I noticed that the boots were very cool on the way home.

Both soles broke away from the uppers...new boot time? I know...you people think I am soulless and a bit of a heel, but I get toey when you say that. Rossi boots in Adelaide have a repair service...$82 for new soles, fitted and returned to me. Fantastic service and great job and much cheaper than replacement.

Should have left it till autumn next year, taking advantage of the ventilation over summer. Wink

Good news. Rossi might be my next pair.

As an aside, I buy all my dress shoes from Allen Edmunds, an American shoe company. The majority of shoe manufacturers use a gluing and bonding process to build shoes; Allen Edmunds use a Dunlop process (yes, the same guy who developed tires) to build their shoes. This means either the shoe can be completely repaired by replacing worn or broken parts, extending the life of the shoe. Ship the shoes in need of repair to the factory and they return them like new for less than half the price of the original.

Good to hear good stories about companies. To Bill and Blakey....I don't think I could cool my heels for that long.

Nice one ainsjac.

My old man always wore Rossi work boots. Prefer Redbacks my self (made in Sydney).

But I do gotta get me a pair of these bad boys: Rossi Shearers Boots - totally hipster.

Have any of you used Bondic?
(My brother was looking for something to fix a tear off clutch lever boot and found this product after he ordered a new boot).
I have read tests about the product and it seems to be good.
Can we use it to repair a crack fairing or the broken tags on the battery side cover or any plastic part on the bike? Or.... a pair of motorcycle boots?
Another similar product called Lazer Bond gets very poor review

Here is a review of Bondic...
And another one.....

Not a Bad product, haven't used it on the bike but for many other stuff.
Works well.

Because the adhesive can be applied in several layers,it is well suited for processing in two steps: First fix with mimimaler amount applied to the adhesive properties, and then apply sufficient material that a sufficiently stable connection is established.
is absolutely essential that the light reaches the whole adhesive. Parts, which lie in the shadow of the UV light, are in principle not hard. So this is well suited for point-like compounds, not for flat gluing.
For example, if you have a slightly sucking material, the curing is achieved only the adhesive on the surface and go only minimally into the depth.

Each also minimal dirt or grease film on the material interferes with the strength of the bond sensitive.
It works very well with ABS plastic.
Cheers
