I was wondering if anyone knows of a headlight and blinkers from a std K100 and also the std K100 radiator cowl as well...I live in SE Qld between Brisbane and the Gold Coast...thanks

I do believe these items are as rare as rocking horse pooh.  If you do find one of the K100 radiator cowls, then there is a good chance it will be damaged.

Yes I thought so regarding the headlight unit, so probably best to go aftermarket though I don't want to change the BM too much. But I guess you would understand that in SE Qld a fairing on an RS gets a bit hot in summer....thanks also for your advice on my other posts....ride safely.... Very Happy

For the radiator cowl to fit properly, you'll also want a tank from a naked K100 or naked K75 as there are mounting tangs at the front of the tank to support the rad cowl.  Had one years ago, the tanks are the same otherwise.  Pretty well unobtanium second hand these days.

I have the headlight cowl off a naked K75 available for sale if it is of use to you. I removed it during my renovation. Look at the 6th picture down In this thread to have a look at it.

Cheers

G'day Gaz, glad you are roughing it on the other side. Say g'day to the Irish when you meet up. Gaz, if no one else wants that cowling, I would be keen to have it. Happy travels. Cheers Tom

Hi Tom

We will help Gaz say hello. We will do our best to make Gaz feel rough too......Ringfad has apparently organised two days off work to make sure. Photos will be taken as proof in case of faulty Gaz memory cards.

Banner photo will be organised somewhere too...I think the banner is in my place.

Olaf

Thanks Olaf, great to see Gaz being looked after. Looking forward to the photos. We visited Ireland a few years ago and had a great time sharing a few yarns and Guinesses with the locals. Cheerts Tom

AFAIK the tanks on the naked models is the same as those with a fairing,
both on the K75 and K100.

The K75 and K100 fuel tanks are different, although the K75RT uses the K100 tank.

Just did a quick check in the garage and the 75C/S/T tanks are all the same and have the lugs fitted to the front for the naked/C radiator cowl.  Externally they are a different shape and the front mounting lugs on the frame just behind the steering head are wider on a K75RT.  The 75 lugs with rubber bungs are about 90mm compared to about 125mm on the K75RT.

The Haynes manual lists the fuel tank capacities as 22 litres for the K100 and 21 litres for the 75.

I hope this adds to the confusion scratch
