Its taken a while, but the disease has struck!

I now have 2 extra K100s, plus 2 mostly complete ones. 3 from a source in the southern highlands and another in Randwick.

That blows my spare time for a while!

Bill

In Ireland in older times we had this tradition called 'meitheal' [meh hel] wherein at harvest time your neighbours all came to help you with your harvest and you in turn helped your neighbours. Sort of a forerunner to 'many hands make light work'.

This case of K-pox sounds like its a case of having a few Eccentrics travel your way to get all these Ks back on the road and properly road tested!!

As for me my kids describe may packing for holiday as 'Dad's giant game of Tetris' but even I never figured on getting a K INSIDE the back of a car. I enjoyed playing spot the parts on that photo.

Looks like your spare time is indeed sorted and we wish you the best with them all. 1 K already, plus 2 more, plus 2 incomplete ones is sounding like a K for every day of the week. 2 more and you are completely sorted.

I suddenly feel I could endure 22 hours in an aluminium tube!!

It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy!

The K in the back of the wagon (307 SW with seats folded) is only missing the frame and I think the steering head/fork yokes. Also the output shaft and sump collected earlier. Pretty much everything else is there in the wagon.

Happy to collect any Eccentrics from the aluminium tube. Very Happy
Now have a spare registered K to share.
Bill

Olaf, in a former life as a teacher we had a power outage in the classroom. My instructions were for all the students to hold hands....many hands make light work.

Nobody told me there would be days like these. (Apologies JL).
Sad days indeed.

However, happy to see everything go to a very good home. I had a few people come and kick the tyres, but seemed that the bike would end up outside in some suburban street, so was pleased to hand it to Bill, and spend the rest of days in good care.

It's been a wild ride, came into my care at a very low point for me, but the confidence I gained through getting it working has been invaluable. I thank all Forum members for their help and kindness. Hopefully catch up soon.

Thanks for the good wishes, all. Good thing I don't have a deadline for all I want to do with multiple Ks.

For those who don't know, the person in the first photo in the post is the venerable RT, kind seller of the 2.something Ks, aka Bob. My first face to face contact with the K100 forum was the workshop day at his place last year when Rosskko dismantled half his own bike in RT's shed.

The forum has been the beginnings of good friendships, some just in the ether (so far) but others have become face to face as well. Bob was the first in the face to face category. Very Happy

If Bob wants a nostalgic K ride, there will always be one in the stable for him.

Bill

its a '85 k100rs i brought it thinking of using it for spairs, it came with 10 months mot, cast iron front disks, ram rear shock, deacent paniers, good seat. all the bits i want for the sidecar, i got it cheep (or for what i would have paid for the parts) so i see the rest of the bike being free. got it from a local auction, looked like it had been looked after but i didnt here it run! got it home in the van, fired it up and it runs real sweet alot better than the side car tug so i dont think ill brake it.

Hold on - that's two RS's you have? Adge is returning his K100RS back to standard, so that's three RS's between you? Or did I miss something? Either I'm easily confused or the glass of Blanton's I've just finished has something to do with it, because I thought I'd got the fairing from Adge's RS!!!

When I met Marie she owned and rode a K75s. My K-Pox seems to have spread and she's getting fired up to get another 75s (this will be #3) now.  The award winning F650GS twin will have to depart first though.

Hi Bill

You initially had me baffled with the first post picture as I thought that is not the Bill I met in Dublin !

Glad to see the Kpox is taking hold with others.

Evolution of my K's - I managed to get them all out today. The weather is abnormally good for November , maybe the presence of Gaz helps.

Simon, I put the explanation in because it occurred to me later that those who don't know Bob might be confused. Appears to have been a wise move. I put him in the photo to acknowledge his contribution to me and the forum generally.

The tree may be useful if the next addition to your stable looks a bit ratty. Hide the worst aspects behind the tree. Very Happy

I've been trying to infect Kay with the disease with some success, but now I have to explain why I had to buy another K! Yes the pox is spreading here as well, with an impulse buy yesterday. It will be a 6 hour drive to go pick it up, so should give me plenty of time to explain why I need three K's.

Looks nice - a good impulse, I'd say.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure my wife is immune to K-Pox. May have been related to her brother's younger days with a Z900 and a 750 Desmo Ducati. (Which he initially told his parents was a lower performing bike. Very Happy)
