Yesterday we had a few hours at Stradbally Fayre with Gaz80 and since we would not be seeing them for Christmas some Christmas pudding was produced.

A little discussion afterwards and it would seem Tuesday 29th December is a good option for the Christmas Brunch.

                                                                                                                   


Usual time of 11am to about 1pm or so, that way everyone gets home in daylight and back in time for whatever family commitments are in place.

Normal weather provisions- come along in the car rather than miss out if that's what it takes to overcome the weather.

Ample supplies of Christmas pudding and cream [custard for CluainSi] will be provided.

Olaf, we can ride up together or share a car, depending on the weather. 

Sorry I missed Stradbally last Sat but I was on a course all weekend, and at this stage I don't know if I'm coming or going.

Hi will try to get there, meet some people from the forum and put faces to names . not on 2 wheels though having some starter motor probs.

Might take a run down on the Tuesday for some of Olaf's pudding. Temperatures like today, 14°, I might even take the bike. 
Been K less for a couple of months now and the swelling has gone down.

As you were posting this I was making even more puddings........it looked like the guest list was expanding faster than I could make them so that's taken care of and there is still enough here to make a few more. Might have a word with the baker too.....

I was getting worried today so decided to make more puddings.......Comberjohn must have a keen sense of smell because next thing he was booked in.
Now Pat O'D so that's great news.

If I could get time I have a new petrol pump, new fuel filter, a new seat [from Shane/Eire1400] and new clocks [from Eire1400] to fit and would love to be done for 29th so I could scrub in my new tyres...!! If not it will be 4 wheels on my wagon.

If you are coming to visit we are sort of looking at maybe Saturday June 4th. Ferries at that time are cheap enough. Will set a new thread for this but looks like we might get 88KE and will look at RedK75 as well.

I use Guinness in the pudding as the liquid [a lot of recipes call up milk], only small amount of whiskey.

I worked out today I have made 40kg of puddings this year, so far. At the rate guys are booking in for Christmas Brunch I had to make more last night.......

We will see if they leave you any.

Some ended up in Australia as you have seen, another ended up in France.......more in England and we did have to have a taste test in Stradbally in November.

You should know my K has a BBQ and we make mulled wine when we go camping. I suppose a Christmas pudding might be a possibility but I draw the line at wearing a Santa hat in June.

Just checking in. The rain has been relentless for the past two months, and the forecast for Tuesday is touch and go at the moment, so I will be going, but it may be two or four wheels. 

The forecast for Tuesday has just been updated, and is looking better, but either side is wet and windy, so a final call will be made later tomorrow.

See you then.

Olaf is definitely going on four wheels as he still has hall sensor issues.

It looks, at the moment, that we might have a window between the rain.

So still hoping to bring a K

If it is rain you are worried about you should have arranged for some Aussies to be there to keep it away - our record for bringing fine weather to the Isle is pretty good so far.

It was great to meet up again, even if I was in the car.  (I'll have to swallow my words about the Pallas Green contingent being girls blouses   )

I have an excuse thought,  I was going on to Ikea after breakfast.

I got to Ikea and swapped out the bits my wife had changed her mind on, and got the new ones.

I was so glad I didn't come on the bike, as I was driving home in storm Frank.

At one stage I thought the car was losing power and was about to stop, but it was only the fact that I was driving through a river of water that was flowing down the motorway.

Not fun, and still raging outside as I type.

Lets organise a weekend in the new year.  Maybe we'll get more than two days of sunshine next summer. Luckly this year I was actually on the bike for the two days we had.  

It's the little things that keep us going.

Ah now only 2 days sunshine was a little on the mean side.

You should have joined our camping trip in August........we got more than 2 days on that....BAE will remember some nice expensive trip [attack of K pox] up Sally Gap and another nice one along Sky Road.

Pud was indeed enjoyable and as usual Stradbally Fayre did us proud. I suppose Rossko will be looking for his pud in June...

Looks like another successful meet over on yon Emerald Isle. Good to hear it was well attended and an enjoyable day out.

I was very, very, nearly tempted with early ferry in via Rosslare and home via early afternoon sailing from Dublin...but timing was just too tight and the presence of "Frank" didn't bode well. Ended up visiting family instead - but at least it was all achieved on 2 wheels and I dodged most of the deluge.
