Hello everyone, I am from St-Colomban, Quebec. I was not interested in motorcycles until year 2000. My boyfriend bought a K75S and decided that we would be touring for our vacations. So off we went for a 2week trip. I was hooked. When we came back  I started riding lessons and bought my 1987 K75S. I am riding since then. Commuting and touring. My boyfriend is now my ex… But when he decided to buy a K1100RS, I bought his 1991 K75S. I now own 2 and proudly ride both. I start my season as soon as the snow melt and end the season …kinda now when temperature is below 0C. Looking forward to e-meet you!

Welcome from the west coast!  I've lived in Montreal (Longueuil) and Ottawa before and the riding there is wonderful.  In fact, yeeeeears ago it was a couple on a bright red K75S that got me hooked on K bikes.  Riding season back east is short, but that just means the bikes last longer.  You'll learn a lot from the forum so keep reading.

Hi welcome from Australia. My wife caught the bike bug from me some 40 years ago and is still riding. With winter coming on you should have plenty of time to get them in top condition for the next season.

Welcome Macadieux,

Glad to hear that your ex gave you Kpox ( Embarassed ) - and hopefully a good deal on his old bike too. Bit harsh to dump him just because he bought a K1100RS though!! Good humour (and poor) on the forum and a truly global appreciation of the K regardless of sex, creed and nationality.

Lots of info buried deep in the various forum sections, but if you can't find the answer you need, just ask and someone, somewhere will offer advice, guidance etc.

Be careful though, some members do travel and enjoy meet ups. I met our leader and guru, Crazy Frog, over in Halifax NS earlier this year, I'm a regular visitor over to meet the Irish Eccentric contingent and recently had the pleasure of meeting Gaz from eastern Australia when he and Ruth were over visiting family and passing through my neck of the woods. I was in Montreal briefly after Halifax...so nowhere is safe from a visit for a beer or three and a natter about K's!

Here on the "warm" side of the Atlantic, many of us ride year round - but then we don't get the extremes of temperature that you guys get over there and the forced hibernation that the snow and ice brings.

Enjoy.

Hello and welcome!
You seam well equipped with your two Ks 75S.
Today it's sunny, 5C cold but sunny :-) I'm going for a ride.
On the other side, winter time is maintenance time, at least I can touch the bike.

Have a good time, cheers espresso

I've no idea where any of that is...off to Google maps for me. I understand that K bikes are not too common in Canadia. Enjoy the foum and all the technical help you need will be here to keep them rolling.

If you're burried in snow you can entertain yourself and us with pictures and ride reports of your various outings. We' like them!

thanks everyone

exploring the forum. Had a major service on both bikes last winter. This winter projects are trying to fix loose fairings and improving lighting.

Ride far, Ride often for those of you who still can!

Another Aussie welcome from a fellow K75 owner.

As BAE mentioned I recently had the pleasure of meeting him in England and then a number of the Eccentrics in Ireland - great fun and all good people.

You'll enjoy it on here. While you're out of your riding season we will endeavour to keep you entertained with trips and stories from down under.

Cheers

Since you don't know where we are and are now consulting GoogleMaps does that mean we can expect a visit some time?.............You get the body here and we will surely find you a K and a guide. Can't guarantee what way you will be when you are going home.......

Rossko is coming here next spring [and he has told his wife.....who is coming too], Indian036 may be along later in the year. Born Again Eccentric is another likely visitor and as time goes on more get added to the list.

Photos are everything......

Let me add my welcome also - from not-so-far "down under" but pretty far west.  It's especially nice to have you with us, as we don't have so many here with a woman's point of view.

Ah that sounds rather nice.

QB or not QB,
That is the question.
Whether tis nobler in the mind to act our ages
Or simply yield and ride the highways of K land.
