finally got round to fitting up one of those el cheepo  rear master cylinders

the metalwork on the mod looks substantial enough to do the job

the lever lines up well , just to find a rubber boot between lever and pushrod , and some protection for the fluid feed

should look ok when on the bike ….eh ?

I have them installed on two of my bricks now.  Only complaint is that gold color that just doesn't match anything.

easy to spray a different colour before install I recon ...just choose something ruged in paint type  ?

I thought the mate up to the pivot was pretty good ...likely find a bit of rubber to install between pushrod and pin to cushion the action a bit ...like the original ?

hows the long term operation like ?

water pump redo ,
we all know what the water pump housing is like ...black... with a couple of spigots for sensors out the bottom

so with my ever increasing OCD ...lol .. decided to strip the paint off it

and a little more cleaning

so dug out the front cover to assemble the parts together , ready to attach to a sump , hopefully arriving soon

some of you may know I looked at a house with a shed recently , with little hope of getting a lease , there were many other applicants already in the system .

after our group meet at the northern tablelands ride event  ((thanks smithy mate , much appreciated

I travelled to glen Innes again to search for other other options , that might be suitable ….surprisingly  a call came from the real estate agent , confirming my successful application ….yippeeeeee  !

a holding deposit was placed  and signing the lease and getting the keys  will be November the 30th

so now ...at long last..... I will have a shed

and a front verandah for sitting with friends and family

Three cheers, mate! That is incredible. Nice to know one can still live the dream. Now you'll need a lawnmower or a goat for that lawn!

The shiny bits look good, too.

BTW, as I too am moving and have to pack up copious amounts of things I need coupled with things I don't, I managed to locate this little beaudy in a box on the bottom shelf. It's got the clutch switch and both cables attached to it. Perform your shiny magiK on it. If you're still in need, give me an address and it'll go out tomorrow. Don't worry 'bout it, I've got two extras...

a posted sump replacement went missing for a few days , till I found the delivery notice hiding in a dark place just this afternoon

many thanks to Ben Kingham of BSK speedworks for helping this project get back on tracks .  cheers mate , appreciate the help
surprisingly the engine serial numbers indicate it was made in the same week of the same year of production , just a few units difference , and will wear my serial number in the not to distant future .

the sump could do with a little cleanup externally , well, allover actually , but a little resurfacing with a stone on the oil pump running surfaces nearly completely eliminated any score marks  along the face of the oil pump impeller areas, yippeeee !!

but back in the box ...till I move house

Charlie the rubber boot I supplied to you works well with the Chinese master cylinder. I have more in the kitty.
Regards Martin.

true indeed martin
but I have used the old adjuster bolt - pivot point incorporated  rather than put the shaft directly thought the arm as it will give a degree of direct pressure straight into the master cylinder ...its a radius thing ???

cheers mate

Mine is not direct it has a pivot under the boot. See http://www.motobrick.com/index.php/topic,9364.msg90596.html#msg90596

In order to get the boot to fully cover everything as per the first picture I moved the lock nut to the rear. I had to grind a bit of the brake pedal away to allow the nut to seat flat. And to allow adjustment I slotted the bolt. Whenever I mount boots I fill them and the entry to the master cylinder with silicone grease it stops any possibility of water and dirt ingress. I think I've bought the wet weather with me from down south. The brick was sitting patiently in the garage, looking forward to getting back in the saddle. And while I was gallivanting around Tas I managed to score two mint K75s front indicators. Good luck with your new abode when's the house warming?
Regards Martin.

we have plans for craigs son Daniel to drive the Cruze back up  after a pickup  on the first of December . hopefully with a smallish truck full of bits

but its looking like renting anything out of glenn innes is almost twice as expensive as Brisbane

updates as they happen mate , but any time after 2nd  of December I expect ….lol
