I thought that "Unobtainium" was a fictitious metal but it would appear not.
I realise that these wheels are not common but geez, the seller really does want all the money for them.

The same chap had a low mileage K1 for sale last week for almost £10,000.   :joker:

Our bikes are good, but not that good!!!  And the wheels, more than I paid for my bike and they don't look as good as originals.

Is there a link to the K1 where one could get to see it. I guess if he wants   £1500 for the rims the price of the bike would be exorbitant. I have always been interested in owning a K1 someday, although this one is a long ways away.
However there is an old saying "Curiosity can kill the bank account!"

He was asking almost £10,000.
The bike didn't sell,no surprise, and the listing's ended.
If it's relisted I'll share the link.

Thank you
It translates to 19,000 Canadian dollars which appears to be quite a bit on the high side.

Ha ha, I've seen the new listing but I'm still reeling at the price.
The only way to find the real value is to send them to auction.

Somewhat down the line and a resurrection but... those wheels really could be worth the current asking price. What made me think about it was that I've just taken a pair of Borrani wheels from my Guzzi T3-California to be vapour blasted. A pair of good Borranis (and these are good Borranis) go for around £750 a pair, so if those wheels are that rare... Who knows.

Hi Dai,
It sounds to me like you may be saving up for them as we type.

That pair of PVM wheels is still for sale, still at £875. That's $1245 US, $1621.38 AUD, 1092.75 Euro-all currency conversions from Universal Currency converter.

Still expensive eh?
I'd love them for my 1100LT but the bike only cost me £700!

So, what do us forum members think they're worth?

They are worth what someone will pay for them and so far the seller hasn't found that someone or the right price.

Granted but a definite cop out. Very Happy  We know he hasn't found a buyer, that why they're still for sale at £875 but they started at £1500.
I think they're between £400-£500-tops!
