Hi all. My name is Andrew I live and work in Berlin (Spandau) Germany. I am half scottish and half welsh. I have a 1995 K1100 lt (Swiss reimport back to its birth place) and love it. I have changed the clutch the start motor bushes, kardan, brakes etc..... I think the only thing i haven't taken off it is the engine itself. Do about 1000 K's a month to and from from work which is about 80 a day, plus tours at the weekend. Shes is getting on abit now with just over 100K on the clock. The only thing that winds me up is the electrics, drives me crazy.

Just a quick thank you beforehand to all who take the time to keep the forum alive and I will do my best to do my bit.

Hello Andrew!

Welcome and nice to hear from you.
You ride quite a lot, nice, even so it's realy cold now :-)
Has the Swiss K version a bit less power?
Enjoy your time.

Cheers

Hi Andrew

Welcome to the forum.

Electrics can be a challenge but there is great knowledge on the forum so don't be afraid to ask any questions. 100k is not much for a K. They will do many times that amount.

Welcome Andrew. Berlin, eh? Must be an exciting place these days. I hope to visit Berlin before I get too decrepit. Sad
The wife and I are off to the Iberian Peninsula in a couple of days. Sadly, we will not be touring on two wheels, but from members' comments here I've noted some special places in Portugal and Spain to visit. This forum is a great resource in so many ways!

Hi from Australia Andrew

I share your pain with electrics - they also drive me nuts

Still there is a lot of knowledge on this forum and everyone is more than happy to help - even the 'electrically challenged' like myself

Cheers
Gary

Hi Andrew welcome to the Knuthaus. "She's is getting on abit now with just over 100K on the clock" Gees mine has almost 200k and still going strong.
Good maintenance is the key to a long life with a K.
