Took the Road Train down to Griffith on the weekend to visit my brother and go to his classic bike club annual ride.
Saw this K1100 Cafe job. Not very good photos as the light was a bit much for my cheap camera but someone might recognise it,. '
I like that Zorst.

Small world Sean ,
the 1100 you saw in Griffith , where my sister lives, was purchased from Port Macquarie by my f-in- law ( Ol'Fart) about 4 years ago.

Griffith on the weekend. Trevs_10

It was the same bike used on the Newcastle Pink Ribbon Ride in 2013
Griffith on the weekend. 13823710

The Ol' Fart sold it to a guy in Sydney , Kent Bibby, who Kafe'd it , and it was published in the Cafe Racer mag  #2 .
The K1200 RS tail piece is a give away.
I made contact with him and he said he placed it up for sale . Last I saw it was advertised online at Archer Motorcycles in Newtown. $15000.00
Well obviously someone saw its worth.... affraid , hope the ride across was a good one.

A small world indeed, Ed.
I couldn't tell you who was riding it as I never saw the owner. In fact, I don't remember seeing the bike on the road on either the Saturday or Sunday ride.
Was a very good ride there and back, 1,970km for the weekend. I've been going down there since the late 70's when my brother met his bride in Leeton and they lived there for some time before heading off and living in Kununurra for more than 20 years. Now they're back in the Riverina for awhile. I like visiting them there.

Yes, sun coming up between Leeton and Barellan on the way home.  I had some wonderful motorcycling weather.
Being Anzac day it seemed appropriate to be out on the road at dawn. Very Happy

These are some of the pics Kent sent through to me .
Moto Guzzi Griso triple clamps and front end were fitted , which included Brembo 4 piston calipers .
The original K rear was retained.
Griffith on the weekend. 15098310

Fuel gauge inserted into the airbox.
Griffith on the weekend. 10906110

K1200RS tail piece.
Griffith on the weekend. 10917810

Griffith on the weekend. 11140210

Griffith on the weekend. 11111110

Finished product as seen in the Cafe Racer mag.
Paint was colour matched to the Moto Guzzi Griso Grey wheels.
Machined rearsets andexhaust collector were scourced from the UK , possibly BSK.
Kent opted for the TrailTech Voyager instrument gauges, about the same cost as Acewell.

Griffith on the weekend. 11050810

Now all the hard work is done , Kent can relax.
