Just a quick little post.
Funny who you suddenly realise you have not seen on the forum for a while.

Krambo is alive and well btw. Just an fyi in case you don't get my drift. I noticed him missing, looked up last time online and sent him a pm asking if he is ok. Nothing more. Many members log in, but don't post.
If people don't want to contact you, then usually they will read the pm and ignore it. At least you can tell when it is read so assumption made they are ok and want to be left alone.

It is hard to post personal problems here so send someone a pm and ask 'are you ok?'

We all tell each other what good friends we are every day on here. Prove it.

Yeah I have done that a couple of times over the years. I also find that when someone sells the bike and gets another brand they feel a bit a out of place because they no longer have a K but I have said to one here that it may be the way we met but doesnt mean that we should lose contact once one of us parts company with the brand.

Some good views expressed. I believe that as we get older some people lessen their number of contacts and then lose interest. Sad... forums like this should continue to bring us together. It does not matter whether we discuss Ks or the price of a loaf of bread... we all seem to enjoy each others Kompany..in person and in print.

Our Eccentric Sgmayhew sold his K to Born Again Eccentric last August. We do see he comes on the forum from time to time and do try to keep in touch with Mary and himself and in fairness the came down to our Kristmas Brunch.

I think wise to keep in touch because the bike may change or be given up but the person doesn't change.

I resemble that remark. It feels a little funny not being able to join in the solution solving bits, but still love to see/hear about trips and other parts of the world.
I check in a couple of times a day but son't always add comments.
As long as I own some flat land and a bbq here I feel like a stage coach stop owner at least.
Cheers to all.

Hi RT, go to profile then Signature tab to edit bike details at the bottom.

If you take out the Beemer details don't forget to put in the Suzi details - it's a good ride.

Cheers

Also can't seem to remove my K details from my profile yet.

Your knowledge and expertise doesn't go away with the K. No reason you cant offer advice or solutions. Be sure too that if you turn up in this neck of the woods you will be just as welcome.

Among others, I can happily vouch for the truth of the stage coach stop bit. Very Happy
Friendship initiated by Kontact is still valued after K is gone.

Happy to see the K details still in the profile, but the 85RT details are engine number, not VIN. Embarassed

I forgot to mention, as we are discussing Forum friends. I recently re discovered the joys of chain drive, as it kin dly came off both sprockets for me. Luckily as I just got into a driveway near home. I was able to get it back on both sprockets (always still carry a full tool kit) and got home. Me old mate Indian Bill came and gave me a hand to tighten everything up as best we could. Suzuki parts, $550 for chain and 2 sprockets. Ha, at least I don't have to grease the splines any more. Twisted Evil
