Hi folks, any of you have encounter the following:
I did a 500 km trip ride with my guys. I was on the way back back when suddenly the whole system just shut off by itself. The meter just black out and the bike just shut down. Park by the road side check any possibilty that the cable connected to battery might be loose. Nope found no sign. Then i just turn the key on, everything is back to normal. This sudden shut down is happening everyday since the trip. It will shut down at least 1 time a day. Today my bike started to jerk when on the move and i keep having back blast as its farting all the way non stop. Any idea on this issue? I have just changed the spark plugs before the trip. 1 more issue is when im on high speed around 140km/ph, onwards, the engine is like out of breath when i close throttle. It died on me once. Thanks in advance

Sounds like a dirty ignition switch.  I had the same problem last year.  Disassembly and cleaning has fixed it.

I agree with .75. It's the only place in the entire wiring loom that can kill the whole bike.

Yep! Happened to me last year...oliver sudden the thing just stops at the most in-opportune moment. Remove the ignition switch...it comes in two parts...the key part and the switch part (from memory!?) The switch part is relatively easy to pull apart and clean the contacts. Good luck!

Ajays posted a write-up on cleaning the ignition switch here:

You need some form of 'social media' account to download it (farcebook etc.).

Solved 1 problem. Bike jerk and keep back blasting. Cause by spark plug cable cab that dropped out of its place as it was not inserted properly after change of new set of plugs. As for the ignition switch, i could not remove the lower part so i sprayed some cleaner in. So far so good.

The top part of the switch is just the lock mechanism and is totally separate to the switch below it except for a tang which turns the switch. Spray lube in the lock will not get to the switch
There's a small screw on the side which when removed allows the switch to come away from the bottom of the housing.

Try these instructions for cleaning the switch

Here's some aditional tips and pics

Hahaha i could not get the screw out. Spray the lube in at the bottom. Figuring it for half a day. Will try to do it again. Thanks.
