I sense that Smithy's pace this morning was slightly down on what we sometimes see from him.

Great video thanks Craig. Some of our overseas colleagues might be surprised to see that Oz is not always flat, brown and hot and many of us are indeed all year round riders.

Waz and I tested out the frosty riding on our run out to Boorowa and back down south of Canberra on the weekend before last. He tempted me onto his naked R1100R with non-working heated grips but I didn't last long and was pleased to get back onto my K75 with windscreen and heated grips.

Cheers

Yes not a big fall of snow, more cold than anything. The main street nearly caught me out with black ice, I only just managed to keep the bike upright.

Yeah it would have been embarrassing if I had gone down in the main drag, the only saving grace would have been that at 700am there was nobody around. All the bridgecrossings and shaded areas were iced over.

G'day K-rider
I was riding my K1100lt on road tyres, it does get cold in Guyra but nothing like the winters in Denmark I'm sure. Most years I can ride all year round, though this year could be a cold one, on Sunday we had -10 and frozen taps untilafter lunch.

Beautiful vid Smithy.

I've had similar rides...but it is definitely not a relaxing experience and, even just watching the vid, I could feel myself tensing up every time you came to a corner or a patch of ice.

Purely for information purposes, no intent to make anyone jealous, of course. Razz
Yesterday I swam in the Mediterranean from Porquerrolles and a couple of different pools over the last week, in 30 degree temperatures. I think I prefer my version!
There has been some cold weather in Goulburn lately, but at only half your elevation, smithy, I think you outdid us.Smile
You're a braver man than me!
