Wow! She's a Beaut! The bike looks immaculate from the photos, especially for the year.

That eBay listing is in my garage right now.
Not immaculate but not bad, either.
Mike (the seller) is a fellow Buell enthusiast and he missed his old S1 Lightning so we worked out a deal and he now has my 98 S1 and I have his 85 K100.

Having worked on (but not owned) an S1, I think you got the better end of the bargain, especially when it comes to ease of maintenance!

I agree, they can be a little difficult but I spent a few years being a Buell mechanic so that makes matter a bit easier. Without the factory training it would have been a real puzzler!
The upper shot is with the small tank and horrible stock seat and no fly screen, the bottom show shows how ethanol bubbles the paint away on the larger Manta tank, Corbin seat and the flyscreen.
We both have other motorcycles and he was looking for a fun bike for a sunny Sunday ride and I was looking for a touring bike. He's getting the paint squared away and I'm going to see if I can't get my instruments to light up. It's always something...

Wow, another Bueller. I have two of them. Fabulous, fun motorcycles!

Bumblebee,
Which ones? I'm down to two, an X1W and the mighty Useless which just turned 97,000 miles today in the pouring rain. I'm hoping to hit 100,000 on it before the roads ice up.

This is a BMW site so we shouldn't pollute it with Brand X drivel but if you need any help with that Cyclone, shoot me a PM and I'll do my best. I'm pretty familiar with these things.

It's my winter project.

If I run into a snag I'll PM you.
Thanks for the offer.
