Hoping someone can help I'm having a weird problem with my right indicators, they are making a really weird audible tone you can see from the video below.

(On the left they are flashing fast but this has been sorted due to the below comment)

If the video doesn't work below please let me know.

1156 for turn signals - 21W.  Very common bulb, should be at your local parts store.

Thank you any idea what's happening with the right hand side though ? The indicators aren't coming on at all on that side and I'm getting that weird audible tone.

Could be a bad wire.

Check continuity from the bottom of the flasher relay connector to the turn signal sockets - blue/black is the right side output.

Does the right indicator in the cluster work or not?

I can't see your video - tells me it is private,

I've edited the video, should be public now so you should be able to see it. The right indicator doesn't work at all just get the audible tone.

I can see/hear it now.

The sound comes from the relay, right?

Test the continuity from the relay to the sockets. Also check that blue/black wire output to see if it is grounded. (It shouldn't be.)

Yes it does come from the relay, I'll check the wire tomorrow in the day light. Thank you for replying.

Duck's right - relay's probably kerfooked. I've got one that does that and no, don't ask me why I haven't thrown it away!

I've just replaced the relay with one that is known to be working seen on another bike.

Just a thought...have you had any grief with starting / starter motor. I had a similar problem with the blinkers going haywire, bike not starting with the starter motor. Removed the starter motor, cleaned it and replaced the brushes and all was good!

Found the problem thank you it was a loose wire to the the rear indicator. Continuity test helped me when I was checking the other wires. Should have really done that to begin with.

Trouble traced to a shorted bulb.  Actually any short would do that.

Yup now onto my other problems, only got a few things left before I get it through mot.

Headlight setting up - rewire sidelight and other wiring
Forks- replace seals

The only other concern at the moment isn't electrical though, it's down to the coolant bottle. I've recently refilled the coolant and it is completely empty. So obviously the overfill isn't working correctly. Unless I'm being stupid right now.

Needs the other horn bracket sorting but it doesn't look that bad in my opinion with the new indicators. A lot different to before it was stolen nothing is tightened up as I'm still working through it. No garage so has to be done at the side of the road.

And you have checked that the radiator is topped up, and all air removed from the cooling system?

Yes all air is removed from the system that I'm aware and the radiator is topped up. It's just the black coolant bottle is empty at the moment. Obviously something isn't right. I refilled it before it was sold to the friend; so its worth having a check see if he has messed with anything.

Another issue I had was that the coolant bottle had developed a small a crack over time, it was not too big and the coolant would leak out very slowly.
Check the coolant bottle carefully.  In my case the crack was at a seam on the side of the plastic bottle.

Also, make sure the hose is good...it leaked in my case too, only a few weeks later.

My K-100RT is 28 years old, it's always been inside unless I am using it, and been well looked after, plastic parts and rubber bits (like the radiator hose) have failed over time.

YMMV.
