Been hunting all over but cant find the size and the only one I have to measure is umm well used.
The question is does anyone out there in Kland know the size of this O-ring.
Real OEM tells the size of just about every other O-ring but lists this as a gasket ring and doesnt give the size. Rolling Eyes

I ran into this problem some time ago (1 needed for 1984 K100 ... front LHS).

Long story short... bought a red box of o-rings for $17 ... can't find link right now

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/10-Pcs-Black-Nitrile-Rubber-O-Rings-NBR-Seal-Grommets-55mm-x-5-7mm-/391240160723?hash=item5b17bb15d3:g:I9kAAOSw~AVYuS4Y

Have managed to use 2 so far. But it was still cheaper than getting played by BMW dealers

Hope this helps

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/419-pc-PCS-METRIC-RUBBER-O-RING-ORING-ASSORTMENT-Auto-industrial-KIT-/191858489397

Attached is the link to the box of o-rings - oil and petrol proof. Just an assorted box of o-rings from an automotive supplier - should be pretty common

Though not sure if it is the size Rick was after

There is this bigger box but the biggest size tops out at 50mm inner diameter
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/826-PCS-RUBBER-O-RING-ASSORTMENT-KIT-419-METRIC-407-IMPERIAL-/181278987255

Hope this is of use to others

Regards

Guy

I just took my old one into CBC Bearings and bought half a dozen for about $1 each. You can get them easy enough from Motorworks for about £2 each also. Freight can be a killer so I'd only order from them when ordering other stuff.

I had to replace it 2 years ago, luckily a mechanic enthusiast across the road had a box of rings, and sold me one for 2 EUR.
Pain in the neck to replace in freezing winter weather, but that was a cheap fix.
Good thing I checked gas level before going on a run, as my half thankful was showing empty but there was some gas left, not much, & a strong gas odour.
I did not see a puddle as the brick stood on gravel/dirt.
