Hello!

My Shoemaker is also a Locksmith and made me two copy's of my BMW K75. Sheep and easy, he will just have to find the right sleeve.

Cheers

I bought a couple of keys from this place:

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0.Xbmw+k100+folding+key.TRS0&_nkw=bmw+k100+folding+key&_sacat=0

and had good results. Had to go to three different key cutters as the metal used is not the usual type around here for keys and most couldn't cut it.

If you want the BMW logo have a look at this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-folding-key-blank-with-ceramic-badge-r80-r100-gs-k-cs-r65-r45-r50-r75-r90-/302161868259?hash=item465a4035e3:g:CT8AAOSwRgJXhPt5&vxp=mtr

Kind of confusing what actual models it's for but it does say "K" in there.

I just bought the blanks from Motorworks and had them posted out, then cut by a local locksmith.

Motorworks part number ELA53660

Cheers

A bit of additional information from my experience having keys cut.

Last year I had two blanks cut. It took visits to several locksmiths to find one who could cut the hard steel blank.

I can't speak to locksmiths in other places, but in the U.S. most locksmiths don't have the machinery to cut steel. You need to find one who cuts keys for bank safe deposit boxes as those are about the only steel keys in general use.

Maybe of interest to us in Australia, I also ordered Keys from Motorworks and went locally to have them cut.
He asked where i got them from and i told him, he then invited me over to his wall of blank keys showing me these very same blanks.
It was a Mitre10 outlet.

I've had no trouble getting keys cut here in Goulburn, but not with the BMW logo and nice folding top - never seen them in my local locksmith. Smile

I broke a key in the steering head lock, although I was able to remove the broken part I was down a key. I took the remaining key to my local locksmith. He immediately identified the key (Ah, old BMW) and had several blanks in stock. Total time was 5 minutes and $10.00.

These keys aren't rare, at least in the USA.
