I am looking for a K100 and although I am Airhead proficient the same cannot be said about my knowledge of K bikes. I have my eye on an 1989 K100RS SE with 88K miles on the clock. The bike is in great  physical condition a 9 out of 10 eye appeal.

Is there anything that I should be on the look out for? It's the 3rd owner so maintenance records are not plentiful. oil changes and rear spline lube lately but that's about it...........

Have a look at what Ted has to say about buying a K then if it smells good eat it but please don't make a cafe racer/ mud maggot/bobber/basket case out of it.

X2 on Rick's comments Joe , the RS/SE's are rare & very pretty examples of a K100 , if it's a 9 out of 10 like you say please respect it , if you cafe hack it I'll be looking for you

Never fear, I don't even know how to spell Kafe. I was drawn to the classic styling of the SE just the way it is

Hi Pedro. Welcome mate, but you need to start a new introduction. This is someone else's intro.
Just go to the Forum tab and select Members Introduction from the list and then New Topic on the top right. Cheers
