Dear all,
many thanks for accepting my application for this global k100 Forum.

Myselft I run a global BMW k1 website, without a forum, because this topic is covered very well yet.
No one dealer, just a few hobbyists like myself have focussed on the k1...
In Germany just a poor 2050 BMW k1 have been sold. About a 600 have left in Germany...
In 1988 the k1 was a hugh motorbike, nowadays it is quite small comparing to a R1200GS...
The aerodynamic provides not just a class leading drag coefficient of CwxA= 0,335 by the time a value from 0,4 to 0,5 was ordinary and a top speed of 240km/h with just a 100hp, but even a comfortable ride with less wind noise while riding.

However, all technical convicting aside, the design of the k1 is unique - that's what I like!

I invite you to visit www.bmw-k1.com

My passion is the restaurate k1 and try colours: https://www.bmw-k1.com/the-art-of-k1/

Do not hesitate to contact me in case of any needs/ help required.
Especially spare parts for the k1 are running out of stock at BMW, a lot of parts will not reproduced anymore...
https://www.bmw-k1.com/heaven-k1/

Let's share global network!

I am looking forward to hear from you!
Best regards,
Andreas (based in Germany/ Stuttgart)

Hi Andreas

You are very welcome to the forum. Its great you have come along.

Simon and Alyn told us you were coming and posted details of your amazing website. Seems you have all met up so now we hope you will be coming to Ireland!!

But 2,050 K1 sold in Germany? That was 30% of the total. I know we have quite a few here too but many owners are not on the forum.

Many thanks for the warm welcome!

Decades ago k1 owners were not bid welcome but derided :-(

Next to the last generation of 2 valve boxer BMW motorbikes like the genius R100GS and R100GS Paris Dakar
I am more or less focussed on the BMW k1...

To leave a frame number is difficult because I own several k1...

You may advise anybody searching for parts or any issues regarding k1 to contact me!
Obviously there are not a lot of k1 owners or k1 specialized dealers...

My email is
bmw-k1@gmx.de

my website is
www.bmw-k1.com

Best regards
Andreas

Andreas' site is a great mine of information on the K1 - the list of colour schemes has several times had me looking at experimenting with mine!
