I have visitors up from the Capital on next weekend .
This event has been on my bucket list for a while ever since Mr Klompy postedthisup .
With four days off over Easter, gotta get a ride in sometime .

Is there a pre ride before hand , as in previous years ?

Thanks for the comments and encouragement Ed but I have family events coming up that are taking most of my attention.

I agree that it would be nice to get a ride in some time over Easter but I'm always wary of being on the roads in peak holiday periods - all the crazies get out there together.

Cheers

There is a ride prior to the party starting at 12pm. Participating riders get onsite parking at the event. I won't be riding Ed. I'll have my camera gear and I don't want to have to lug around my helmet etc as well.

Keep an eye out or txt me. See ya there Ed.

Hi Ed, I reckon any one of Gaz's bikes would fit the bill. Years ago I made a rule to stay off the road especially at Easter time which seems to bring out the worst in some of our road users. Enjoy the party. Cheers Tom

I'm usually of the same sentiments as Gaz and Tom when it comes to travelling during peak holiday periods .
I've always been shacked up in the favourite campsite with family , this year is not so .
The Throttle Roll is something which has been gaining my interest these past couple of years , so a quick ride down the freeway it is .
Al , I hope the weather is kind to you in the Capital , starting to turn chilly round here , could be the same down south.

Nigel , I'm not sure what time I'll get there , but I hear the party goes till quite late . Will message you on the day , as I have a few pitstops along the way .

No worries Ed. I'll get there about 2ish and will probably be still kicking my heels up till well into the evening.
Bring your earplugs as there'll be nonstop live music and plenty of loud exhausts.

Well as it was , Basic ( Richard ) turned up to the party . As did Mr Klompy and myself .

An easy morning ride down the Old Pacific Highway via Kangaroo Point for a couple of pics ,
then onto the House of Rosskko to meet with Mr Klompy.

The crowds were starting to gather for what was to be the Throttle Roll Street Party 2017.

Mr Klompy .

Bikes and music . what was that you said ....... LOUD MUSIC
Richard and Mr K

This was the only K bike on display this year , so we may as well pick at it .
As it would be , not much difference to Rosskko's 86 BMW ,
polished tank and Hiedenau knobblies.
sKrambling K's gives food for thought .

Resting up before the fun begins .

well it's time to party.

Happy Easter to all our forum friends.
Nigel , our official group photographer for the event .

a fun day out had by all.

Glad you had a good time guys! I spy a couple of boxers in the background so with the solitary K bike at least the beemers had a presence.
That K bike certainly shows that the bike riding community covers a wide variety of tastes.

Cheers

I got there a little later. Pity I missed Basic2. It was an interesting show.
While all of us had high expectations to win the Custom Sol Invictus machine, sadly we all lucked out even tho they had 3 goes at drawing the prize due to people not being there.
Here are few pics to drool over. The K-bike had gone by the time I got there.

I think Phil Irving would be turning in his grave if he saw this.... but then again, he may even embrace the whole concept of modern modifications.
