Firstly hello to everyone in this Forum Very Happy

Well I've been riding bikes of all types since I got a licence back in the UK some 32 years ago and never worried which badge I was riding just loved all bikes ( still do ) but last week I decided I wanted to do a little project and found an old beaten up 1989 K100RS in Pomona ( Australia ). BTW I live on the Sunshine Coast in OZ now for the last 13 years. Long story short ....I rode this bike home and I just kept grinning.......and grinning all the way home, loved the quirky switches, loved how she tracked round sweeping bends, loved the feel of the motor. I couldn't stop smiling and was super excited to get her home and start work on her. She looked a bit of a pig and getting her original wouldn't be an option but I loved this machine. So this is how it started.....scrambler/cafe racer conversion. Thank you Andrew.

Welcome to the Forum.

If you do go the way of the scrambler/café bike, please do not throw any bits out.

A lot of stuff is no longer made and you'll probably make some money selling the bits.

Photos before and after please.

Publish photos of anything motorcycle-related if you want. We don't care.

DeoxIT...buy some. Jaycar sells little bottles of it. Use the red stuff. Please note the correct way to spell it. Use it on all electrical connections, contacts, earths, bulbs etcetera.

Appreciate the heads up....gotta say I nearly did exactly that but shown restraint and thought I would double check : )

done all the simple stripping I can so far and labelled " dummie style " as I have no electrical knowledge.

Going to ask a couple of questions to establish what I need to do, thank you Smile

Welkome from down in the Hunter Valley in NSW. The Aussie Krew are a great bunch and we get together a few times a year so if you are interested in meeting people from the forum keep your eyes on the portal. Have a bit of a read about some of our past exploits in the Australian Rides section to give you a feel for what we are about.

Doesn't matter what you ride if you want to participate.

Cheers
