  • So I need to replace my throttle cable new to classic motorcycles and BMW's I have an 86 k100Rt am I going to need to remove my tank to replace it or what would be the best way

Tape the new cable to your old cable and pull it gently through if it gets stuck pull it back a bit and try again.
Make sure to get the marks on the throttle assembly under the cover lined up.

It's a fiddly one. Have patience. Getting it located is the easy part. You'll need to remove the lower fairings.... at least the left side. Getting it seated and engaged with the semi circular actuator on the TBs is tricky.
