Welcome Mike, the bike looks fine!
If you are getting rid of parts, do not throw anything out as you can sell it and recoup some money.

It's about 50% stripped now

Greetings from the outer limits, just south of you. I often drive through your area. Even damaged fairing parts can be useful.

Hi Mike. Looking forward to seeing your progress on this project.
I am very interested in those panniers if you want to sell them. I have sent you a private message.

Thanks Andrew, cafe racer would be about right.
It's currently stripped, k1200 rear wheel already custom painted and the fuel tank. Got a 7" led headlight for it and clip on bars, will custom make an exhaust and front wheel is ready for paint now.not 100% on the rear end yet. Might have a few things up my sleeve for that

Hi Mike,
Nice job on the rear wheel
If you use a different instrument cluster drop me an email I have already gone through that scenario and maybe able to help.
Had a few ups and downs with mine
Got the new tyres on since this pic and that is a task so try Motorbike Tyres Cooroy, very helpful 0427 425 509

I'm at Coolum Beach,
By all means drop by we can take notes and help each other out,
I found the K100 forum real helpful and also Chris Harris on youtube for servicing and head bearings etc which no doubt you will need to replace unless you are real lucky
Did a matt black and chrome headlight 6.5" then had to bend and drill to fit the the Acewell 2853 Instrument cluster in the right position. You will need an electrical switch/relay not sure what they call it but it enables the use of the original speedo and start in neutral, got a few coming in the post so could have a spare from Robmack who was very helpful in this forum along with Rick G and Inge. I got these two under the knife but have another one that rides so well and was in much better condition that I'm renovating to original. These bikes kinda get under your skin once you ride them
