Hi All,

I was making a list of the bits I need as I want to put some LT bars on my RS (Long rides coming). But as I looked it appears I already have an LT dash pad can anyone confirm this? As I looked deeper it seems that the seat may also be LT and not RS original, again, can anyone confirm this? Please forgive the gorilla tape but it rains a bit over here and it started to get a bit soggy!! Many Thanks! Dave

That dash pad is same as on my RT and LT.

If you are getting RT/LT bars the heated grip ones differ from non heated grips. If you don't have heated grips you can simply cut the end off the type for heated grips.

You will definitely need
Bars
Clutch cable
Front brake hose from master cylinder down to the centre tube.

I can remember if the throttle cable differs too, just run a quick check.

The wiring and switchgear is all the same so no need for parts, it can be wriggled to fit but make sure all works before you put the tank back. Especially the clutch cut out switch connector to the loom....

You will need all 3 bowden cables plus the brake hose. As Olaf has said the electrical cables are all good for the extra length and having the correct bars for heated grips is important unless you are heading for Syria as it's fairly hot there now.

With RT bars on your RS your head will be slightly higher and probably in the slipstream off the windshield. It'll be noisier and maybe a little more strain on your neck from the wind. This is normally a concern for RT riders anyway and your RS screen is lower.

I swapped the RS bars on my 100RS for a set of "C" bars and didn't need to replace any hoses or cables. it was a straight swap.

Can't remember about heated grips, but seem to remember I had bar end weights.

Something to consider if money/time is tight.
