hi there just joined i live on westcoast of south island of new zealand great riding every where i have owned a number of beemers my first k75s then k100/r1150r/k1200rs ive just bought 1990 k100rs 16v cheap it needed a bit of work first day i picked it up back brake locked on me blew brake hose waited to cool down then had an hours ride to get home on front brakes so far replaced back brake cylinder & hose/gearbox gears/clutch plate/rear seal on engine while in there/four new valves/taken off fairing turned into naked bike just alternator rubbers to go and be ready for summer

Welcome to the forum.

Sounds like you have done a lotof the relevant K jobs while you were in there.! Caliper and master cylinder rebuilds sound to be on the cards but with that you will have a great K.

Welcome to the forum mate. I'm just down the Coast a bit in Wanaka. Cool to catch up for a beer at some stage and also good to have a local (sort of) to discuss issues etc with.
