Thank you to anyone who has an RS to part out, or who has a functional wiring harness they are willing to sell.

My RS is in beautiful condition, but my mechanic tells me the wiring harness is dead.

Can anyone help?

If I had him remove it, does anyone know a shop or professional that will repair it?  Sorry if that's a dumb question!

Thank you

Ric

Depending on what the problem is, it might be easier to fix rather than replace.

Dai,

After replacing the battery and starter relay the battery just drains, even while the bike is running.

Was the alternator function checked, rreifel?

Does the starter motor keep turning? If so then it's most likely a stuck starter relay.

Charge light in cluster: Does it come on when key turned on before the bike is started? After it's started?

Is it a mechanic who knows old K bikes or just a generic bike mechanic who works on all makes?
