!984 k100, Hi all, my oil pressure lamp has stopped coming on, could this have anything to do with inadvertently blocking that small hole on the engine face when putting the pump back on?? ie always pressured up?

Check the connection to the oil pressure switch and the switch itself—#12 in the attached diagram—before going further.

Check the bulb is functioning and not blown.

I'm with Laitch - that connector is just in the right place to catch all the sh!te from under the engine, corrode up and break the wire.

Easy test: disconnect the wire/connector at the switch and ground it.
If your oil lamp now function, the switch is the problem.
If not, the problem is the bulb or wiring.
