Hi all,

Thanks for adding me.  I've had quite a few K series bikes: 2x K75S and 2xK1100LT, plus numerous other BMs over the years.  I've just got a K1 and look forward to learning more about it, especially about my intermittent speedo!

Simon

Okk Simon welcome to the forum.

You got some K owners near you....one in particular likes to travel over here and might just enjoy a travel companion.

Don't be afraid to ask questions, despite or because of the banter and sense of humour there is great technical knowledge and everyone is willing to share it..

Welcome along Simon,

As Olaf eluded, I'm just down the road from you.

I'm overdue another visit to Ireland, so if you need someone to show you the way I could be easily persuaded. You would be assured of a warm welcome over there. Several of the Irish Eccentrics are K1 aficionados and I'm sure they would like having another K1 attending one of their meets.

There's a wealth of knowledge around the world that contributes to this forum and, whilst this started as a K100 forum, our illustrious president Crazy Frog saw fit to allow us to talk about all other K bikes too...even those butchered cafe ones (they have a special quarantined, padded cell area though).

I'm sure someone will be able to help you with your speedo issue.

Enjoy and PM me if you want to meet up for a coffee at some point.

Hi all, and thanks for the warm welcome. I'm hoping to hang on to this Brick a while... I sold an immaculate K1100LT years ago and wished I hadn't, and a really nice K75S that I'd toured Spain on at high speed as well.

Hopefully, I've learned my lesson and , once the erratic speedo is sorted out, I can settle down to riding the beast on sunny days Smile

Cheers,

Simon
