Hello All.... new member in Sydney Australia 
Recently obtained fairly descent 1988 Police K100rt interested in information on returning to original police specifications ( single seat panniers decals etc ) and running on club registration , if others have been thru similar rebuild would appreciate any input .

Mitch welcome to the asylum, single seats and Police top boxes crop up occasionally on EBay or Gumtree. Unfortunately prices for those items are all over the place. There is a Police top box currently listed on Gumtree for $180.00 it has been there for quite a while 10/05/2014 and still listed. Try posting a wanted ad on this site and see what happens.

Hi Mitch , welcome to the forum . 
A few of us here have started out with the police version , with many being converted to various options such as RS , LT and even Kafe's. 
If you are keen , there are some Krew getting together in Sydney tomorrow , feel free to join us on any mode of transport . 
we'd be happy to share a few thoughts with you.

You will have to wait until next year before you can run it on Club rego. I have 88 K100RS and belong to a historic club in the Hawkesbury. So if you want to come one of our meetings let me know.

Many Thanks for the great replies to my 1st post , work Sunday keeps me from catching up with some Sydney K bike regulars .
Not my 1st German bike owned - having had 2 BMW oil heads before but this is my first K series - hopefully at a future date may be able to attend a K bike meet even if Im allowed to turn up on my main bike being the Nemesis of BMW one of those unmentionable British Rides. 🇬🇧

Maybe a brief funny look, but that's all apart from keeping an eye on the ground for stray oil.
