Not sure if this post is in the right section of the forum (maybe the humour section) if you are chopping/modifying or making a cafe racer out of a k1, I need a few bits to start/finish my K1, front fender, top fairing lower fairing instrument cluster, seat, tail section, all indicators, tank or the knee pads, mirrors and any other bits which are K1, color does not matter as I am colourblind,
Just putting it out there, you never know

There was a guy in Mexico on Motobrick.com who mutilated a K1 and had a complete set of body parts he was trying to get rid of.  No takers that I was aware of.  It was a couple years ago so he may have binned them if they didn't sell.

The mirrors are available from the usual sources in the UK. One side also fits the later model K75S.

Also, I think the front fairing indicator lenses are off the R100RS. I may have a set in the shed.

There's a K1 addict in Germany who has stored a lot of K1 parts and sells some.
Not cheap but...it's available. I give you its adress by MP because I'm not sure he wants publicity.
It's now pretty difficult to find K1 parts. But maybe you should look in...Japan. Many K1 were sold there, and that's were I eventually found the parts I could not have elsewhere.

mudguards are available through BMW dealers, see your mortgage advisor before you go  . I think they are 95 gbp per side, in primer and decals were 35gbp each.

Hi Gary - I may be able to assist. Some years ago I purchased a 1983 K100 imported from Japan. The Japanese owner was not short of funds and had fitted a number of genuine K1 body parts to customise his early K100. All parts are painted BMW Metallic Red (paint code 575). The parts from that Bike I have are:
Left Front Mudguard / Right Front Mudguard / Upper Trim Panel (fairing and screen) / and I think I have Lower Left Trim Panel and Lower Right Trim Panels.  I also have a new silver K1 sticker for one of the lower trim panels. I imported one Lower Trim Panel used from the US several years ago.  On Sunday I'll dig out what I have and provide a more detailed description if you are interested.
