Sorry, this sounds really noob, but I really need help on this.

The gear shifter lever in my bike broke, and it was only the tip.  I don't have a welder and I practically live in the middle of no where, so I'd rather order one.  There's a local junkyard that has bikes laying around, maybe I can find one to swap.

Does anybody know the size of the thing i highlighted in this picture that way I can just order one similar and install the whole thing?

Many of the early Hondas have the same spline and are steel so can be welded. If you weld the original they will bend very easily and also break.

Even the early CB750 from 1969 right through the model.
The spline is a standard SAE spline but I cant give you any ID on it as I don't have that info.

Have you ch,ecked eBay for used BMW K100, K75, or K1100 shift levers?  Seems to me there is almost always a couple`for sale there.
