Hey gang, my speedometer is showing about 5 to 8 mhp faster than i am really going. I have heard that there have been speedo issues like this before. I also need new tires right now and I was wondering if getting taller rear tire might help and if there could be any negative issues around that.

There is a calibration adjustment in the speedometer that you can adjust. There are threads here and on other forums that discuss speedometer calibration.

I think that a 60hz magnetic field introduced to the pickup should register 44mph on a properly calibrated speedometer.
