Hello. Looking for some help. I want to fit a temp gauge to my k100 engine. I've seen that people use the coolant drain plug as a hole to fit a temp sensor but I don't know what the thred size is? Can anyway help

Go to a website like www.realoem.com and look up the threaded plug in the water/oil pump page, or find the sender in the instruments listing page. In the case of a standard K100 8V the threaded plug is a 10x1. The OEM part number for the BMW sender switch is
62 16 1 459 270.

HEREis a link to the online catalogue.
