Reg,

Hibernation on a K in Ireland? My K wore out a rear tyre while yours was hibernating.....

Alas we are having a meet up and lunch at Hook Head lighthouse 24th March.......

As for NC500 sounds like a good plan.

There's good accommodation at the Vango, Gelert, Coleman inns.

Olaf,
You must have wd40 running thru your veins:) ,I ll try and make it down to the light house.
Do you know of any place near Galway that can fit and balance some tyres. No bike shops left here in Galway.

Hopefully see ye then.

Well there's Ivor's that I know nothing about but seems he provokes very heated discussion about poor service on a local forum.

I suspect travel east and come via Tullamore and KC Motorcycles is just off the Tullamore bypass, just take the exit so you go past Maunsells excellent pub/eating house, from Galway its right hand exit at the roundabout. Will Crean and myself are regular callers there. To Mauneslls and KC that is.

Hi Reg

I brought my K1100rs over last year. I did not know about route until I saw the signs so I think I only managed the NC400.

Look after for white fluffy things in the road (sheep), and a lot of single track roads on the route.

We went in June and only got midges on the West coast (skye).

If the weather is good it is beautiful - if not like out trip up the east coast abysmal.
