New member, 

recently acquired a 1987 k100 LT project bike (wiring harness is missing)  Very Happy

thinking i'm gonna need some help so i joined this forum!

Welcome!  Sounds like you have a nice project.  Any photos of how it stands now?  You are in the right place for help with electrical wiring stuff.  Some very knowledgeable inmates here with the leccy stuff.

Here is a photo of the bike 
and the pile of fun that came with it. 

Have not done much work on it, other then 
making sure the engine has compression (it does!) Very Happy

My main focus is to get the ignition system wiring 
sound.

I have done full re-wires on bikes in the past but never 
something this complex. I need some help!

If you're going for a full rewire (good idea), post 9 here may help. Trust me, it's not that difficult, especially as you've had some experience of wiring bikes.
