The insulation on the wiring for my fuel pump has cracked in various places. It still works ok but needs replacing. The only question I have is what to replace it with. Is normal insulated wire fuel proof? or is there something better?

Sorry, after a further check it seems that I don't remember that good.
Nitrile, Teflon or Viton is a better material, silicone is not recommended.
The fuel hoses inside the tank is made of nitrile.

Teflon is the best, and in my experience, a lot easier to find.
