Hi all,
 
Any idea where I can get a Water temperature sensor BMW Part number 62161459270 (or equivalent) for my BMW K1 water/oil pump. dimensions are H 25mm x W 10mm, thread depth 10mm.

Is that the one behind the radiator, if so is it same as 84 K100? Or the one for the temp gauge? If one for gauge and same as K1100 Will probably has it...!


Just checked the later post, the sensor I have is for 2v, no good to you.

Yes, MotorWorks definitely sell them, but can anyone tell be what the washer it uses is made of? The (Haynes) manual simply refers to it as a 'seal' but when I removed my sensor after the cooling system overheated – the fan proved to be broken – it didn't have one and now I'm putting it back, I can't figure out what the washer should be? Shocked In the photo on the MotorWorks website it looks like it might be alloy, but that seems unlikely.

It's alloy and comes with a new sensor. I know 'coz I bought a new sensor two weeks ago Very Happy

Ah, thanks for that: I'm sticking with my 'old' sensor so now I'll just have to find an alloy washer! Easier said than done here in rural Wales!  Crying or Very sad
