I have been searching the forum on the replacement of the rear main seal

and then searching Motorbins  for the parts

each thread on the forum  mention to replace 11-21-1-460-696 Pressure Ring x 1

but i cant find this in Motorbins  ?

has it been replaced / incorporated into the new seal ?

is there a new number ?

No.
No. There is a part still offered with that number.
Sometimes the adventuresome reuse that compression ring.
Try Motorworks. If you put your bike's model and year in the bike*: box of
your Profile, it will show up in each of your posts and help respondents know exactly what you need, because parts can vary among models and years.

likely matt is looking for the oring that fits with the pressure ring , behind the nut that holds the clutch housing to the output shaft .
many have reused the pressure ring  but refitted with that oring that cracks shrinks and generally leaks oil into the clutch housing assembly

cheap as  and available from the bins , moto works , etc

Code: 41230    is the moto bins part number

I reused mine but I want to know if there is a compelling reason as to why you would want/need to put a new one in?  What is the wear on these that would make them not reusable?

MaxBMW name it a compression ring and says it's one time use, maybe it gets
a little bit deformed when thightening up the nut...don't know how soft it is.
BMW also recommends one time use.

Motobins says that it can be reused.
Many on this forum (myself included) have reused it w/o problems.

It's up to you.....
