Hello great members,

As the donations to maintain the existence of this forum is very successful, I am looking at registering a website where people will be able to store documents and create web pages (related to the K motorcycles). The forum will stay in its actual form and the website will be an addition.

www.hostinger.com has for a limited time (5 more days) a great deal on a 4 years subscription. Enough money has been raised to afford it. (unlimited space, bandwidth, subdomains, web sites....)
A free domain name is offer with the subscription. (k100-forum.com is the domain name of this forum).
What name should I get?
For example I could select k-motorcycles.com or k-bike-knowledge.com

What domain name would you like to see? Please give me ideas.

(I will have to register in a couple of days in order to get the 60% saving)

Thanks,
Bert

It might me nice to keep the word forum in the domain name. Most of us refer to this site as the forum :-)

Kforum-tech.com sounds good and to the point. I do like things that are to the point - so much easier to remember.
...and you're very welcome - glad I could contribute and delighted that you seem to have had a really good response to date.

Vive la Forum!

With kforum-tech.com, it sounds like the site will be a technical section associated with the k100-forum, rather than an independant repository for Kbike knowledge. If that's the intent, then the name is good. If it is not the intent, should the name reflect its independance?

Rob,

This is basically what I intent to do with this site.
It will be a repository for the documents of the download section and I will be able to setup subdomains for members wanting to do a page with explanations of a procedure (a bit like the "how to" section on the forum). ie: kforum-tech.com/robmack
We should also be able to setup an area where the forum members can share files.
I will have to spend time to do the setups.

Also, a big thank you for your donation.

Bert

I always refer to the Forum as the BMW K Series Forum, although I don't know if that is anyone else's website
