Just joined up as I recently aquired an ‘89 K100 rs. So far I’ve changed the oil and filter and flushed the brake fluid. Need new tires and was looking at Michelins as I run them on my Airhead. Anyone care to opine on Pilot Activ vs Ankee rears?

TIA,
Justin

Welcome.  The RSs are nice looking motorcycles.

I have Pilot Activs on my K75 and like them.  Don't know anything about the Ankee.

Welcome, Michelin Anakees could be used but you'd have a time finding the correct size, and are for dualsports. Pilot Activ are a pretty good tyre. Check out Pirelli Sport Demon if bias ply is what you're seeking.

The Anakee III and Pilot Activ both come in 140/80R17 69,V. The earlier Anakee looks like a dual sport., but the 3 is recommended by one of the on-line dealers. At the risk of heading down a tire/oil rabbit hole, any other favorites besides the Perellis?
