Brit, living and working in France, I’ve built dozens of bikes in my time but never a BMW!
Ancient K100 as yet undecided on direction.
Will be looking for technical help from those who know.

That was thanks to Will Crean, for me taking the photo of him 'worshipping' at the sign.

30 minutes from you isn't bad........we sometimes travel St Jean/Cognac/Angouleme/Perigueux if that brings us near you.
