After waiting 26 years to fullfill a promise to my self to one day buy another motorcycle I just bought a 1985 K100RS cut into a cafe racer. While my wife wasn’t thrilled she’s been a dream about the whole thing. However, a few days later i bought a second K100, an 85 RS (it was only $1k and just had some bumps and bruises on the plastic parts). She doesnt know about that one yet 😔. And now ive stumbled on someone who’s dad died and he had a K100 in the shed for the last 20+ years in mint condition and im seriously thinking about buying that one...🤦‍♂️ - I just cant get enough of these bikes, but this cant possibly be normal behavior and my sweet wife is going to kick my a$$ when she walks in the garage and sees THREE BMW K100s...

Am i the only one with this problem?

That is totally normal, but, how rapidly you have caught the disease is a little concerning scratch

You have a serious dose of KPox, for which there is no known cure. Most of the inmates of this asylum forum have it to varying degrees...and, yes, brace yourself - she is very likely to react as you suggest. Just don't tell her that you've got "Kpox" or the conversation (and your life) might go in an entirely different direction, which often starts with sleeping on the couch...

Well at least there is a diagnosis, but pretty sure I don’t want the cure. Haven’t enjoyed myself this much in a long time and thankful to know I’m not alone....

Quickly buy yet another K100 (making four in total) and then tell your wife that as you only have 2 bikes she should go and get her eyes checked for .....Myasthenia gravis, an autoimmune illness that stops nerves from telling the muscles what to do. Early signs include double vision... Very Happy

There's a step where your wife will stop moaning about this new bike and start noticing there's just "another bike".
This steps is usually set at 10 bikes, but it depends the way they're parked in your garage.
If she can see all your bikes in line, she will easily notice a new one and the step is quite high.
If they're stored by ranks of 2 or 3, she'll just consider the firsts ranks and notice the mess in the garage that prevents her to reach the shelf at the bottom.
Note that if you're into transforming bikes, you also can argue that this is not a new bike, it's an old one that you modified and as you're very skilled, she didn't recognize it.

Trust my own experience...
I told her last year that I was behaving responsibly and ,no, it's not responsible to buy a 21st bike.
"At least, you concede that you have no more place for another bike?" she said.
"Yes. I'll buy the neighbor's barn instead, there's much more storage." Razz

Lol! 21st bike and the neighbor’s barn...if I have “Kpox” you have Kbola! That said, I will never line the bikes up, but scattered them about as you suggest because that’s actually a brilliant strategy!
