On Any Sunday: The Next Chapter

For anyone who grew up fondly remembering Bruce Brown's iconic 'moor-bike' movie from 1971, his son Dana has done one too. Bruce also produced and directed the legendary surfie film, Endless Summer. This is a link to a glorious hour and a half of motorcycles, motorcycles and nothing but. Sadly, Bruce Brown passed away in December of '17 at the age of 80. The Next Chapter was released in 2014, but I'd never seen it in its full length format before.

It is absolutely fantastic! I saw the original while in high school and thought I had died and gone to heaven. Having grown up in the sticks we had lots of bikes and plenty of space to ride but there was a decided lack of stimulating media. Dana did a great job in reprising the work of his parents.

Wow, I have to see this.

Like Woodie, when I saw the original movies, I was in love. There was something in Bruce Brown's directorship that made his movies special. I hope it is recreated in this latest one.

I went and saw it twice when it was released in Townsville in 1973. I have On any Sunday 1 and two in my collection, so now I'll have to get 3.
Regards Martin.
