Around 4 years ago I was trying to find a cheaper replacement for my plastic protectant cleaner. I have been using Surf Cities Black Max which is hard to get and runs to $25.00 - $30.00 Au a 273ml bottle. At the time I had a lot of recommendations from the US to use Pledge. But although Pledge had been available in OZ years earlier it had disappeared from the shelves. I don't normally go grocery shopping but the wife currently is unable to drive. I was trolley pushing slightly zoned out and I spotted Pledge back on the shelves $5.00 Au. I bought a couple of 22 Lt top boxes a while ago that I have been fixing up so I gave one a blast with the Pledge. It seems to have done a similar job to the Black Max but only time will tell. A few weeks back in grocery shopping I spotted wax floor polish called Lavender floor polish. I have wood floors and was looking for some regular stuff. But this Lavender polish I remember my mother being mad about.

A close look revealed it's carnuba wax which can be expensive in an auto shop but very cheap in a grocery store..........Tell you one thing, it's the best auto polish around and even better the bike smells darn good!!!! Anyone asks about the fragrance....petrol additive....

The only lavender polish I could find was beeswax. It's a pity because one of the other bike products smells of coconut. Use all three lemon, coconut and lavender. I'd probably come back and find the Brick being nibbled on by little furry critters. I tried lavender flavoured ice cream and a lavender milkshake on holiday in Tas. Never again, it was terrible although my breath smelled nice. Plastic Protectant Cleaner Pledge 44271
Regards Martin.

Carnauba wax can produce a glossy finish and as such is used in automobile waxes, shoe polishes, dental floss, food products such as sweets, instrument polishes, and floor and furniture waxes and polishes, especially when mixed with beeswax and with turpentine. Use for paper coatings is the most common application in the United States[citation needed]. It was commonly used in its purest form as a coating on speedboat hulls in the early 1960s to enhance speed and aid in handling in salt water environments.[citation needed] It is also the main ingredient in surfboard wax, combined with coconut oil

I had picked up the tin and was reading it. The above is wikipaedia....
