Hi Tasie Kerry, enjoy. I took a break from bikes for a couple of decades, but I'm just rapt that I've got back to it now. Tasie is tailor made for bike touring, it's on my to do list. There's plenty of tailored help here too,  just ask.

Yes, we are lucky down here, quiet roads mostly corners and hazards we are aware of living here. Not policed very much. Heading into winter so most of the good roads stay damp , extreme care required ! Still great to get out in the wind !!

Welkome, Kerry. I lived in Trevallyn and in Dilston as a lad. A good place to have grown up, wild and free.

Yo, Dai, it's known as the Bass Strait.

Why? Because it's the Bass end of nowhere?

Legend has it... You know it's gunna be dodgy when it begins like that. But the story goes, some lonely old Englishman - let's call him William - looked at the water and proclaimed it was as dark and foamy as a Bass Ale, but, he acknowledged to the Irishman - we'll call him Arthur - beside him, not quite as black as Guinness. Then they went to the pub.

Just watched a BBC wildlife documentary on Tas. Very, very impressed - if I was a few years younger I'd put the island on my bucket list.
