Folks,

This excellent, lightweight bike cover + bag is an additional product sold by Laminar Lip of California.

URL: https://www.laminarlip.com/kwik/kkindex.htm

I've used mine for nearly a month now. It is easy to employ, easy to fold away and is permanently attached to the bike. It is not waterproof, in that, after a good rain I find pooled water on my Corbin seat underneath the KwiKover. Hovewer, its silvery surface does seem to reflect all sunlight.

Having had one Corbin seat ruined by the sun in the past, I like this product (so far) because of its always-there aspect and its ease of use. 10 seconds to unzip and dress the bike, another ten seconds to fold and zip into the bag.

The instructions for this generic top-of-seat cover are to mount its bag's "tail" under the seat. On my BMW K bike I found that doesn't work well... but what does work is to mount the cover's felt "tail" in the other direction, under the rear cowling's small black metal rack. The "tail" stays in place because it has horizontal channels into which a rigid, round plastic tube fits... I cut the length of my tube so it fits exactly under the bulge of the metal locking plate of the 22-liter top case. Just so as not to scratch the cowling's paint, I added another thin felt pad from a hardware store under the KwiKover bag's "tail", since its factory felt piece was now on the top and not on the bottom, like it would have been if mounted per instructions under a bike's seat. There is no way to steal the cover off the bike unless one cuts the cover's bag off its "tail". While riding, the cover in its bag is well out of the way, even with a passenger.

I have six pics for those who PM me, as I cannot attach pics here. The 1st two are with the KwiKover's "tail" under the seat, but all the later detailed ones are after I mounted the cover's bag under the topcase.

BTW - this cover is still on sale now for $39, here (again):

I recommend this KwiKover to all of us who worry about plastic hand switches deteriorating under the sun's UV rays, as the cover can easily stretch to cover the handlebars and our switches and heated grips.

Hope this is useful.
