Welkome aboard Mick. I had my K1100 for 22 years until recently sold but I don't think I ever ran across one like yours.

I'm sure others from around the world will chip in some info over the next few days.

Not that I am aware of and that Alpina Badge looks identical to the badge on the Alpina E38 BMW 7 Series.
Alpina is one of the Marques that BMW has for its top end of the models namely the 7 series and I think some of the 5 series as well but as for the Bikes they usually just call it an SE and put a differently coloured seat on them.
The only bike that would be the equivalent would be the JPS (John Player Special) that was released in the K100 RS range.
